Morning all!
My current infatuation with giving stuff away has become something of an epidemic, and as we stride with confidence into the middle of the year, it shows no sign of slowing down.
This month, however, I have chosen those of my subscribers who help keep the lights on around here as the exclusive recipients of this month’s giveaways.
I have chosen to send those who are paying members not one, but three free ebooks, all of which are available via the link that they alone will receive.
I have put together an abridged collection of some of the magnificent and rather angry speeches of the great orator Cicero, including his swivel-eyed rant against Catiline, his withering attack on Mark Antony and his passionate defence of the poet Achia.
On top of that, you’ll also get a copy of Meditations by philosopher king and bearded lunatic, Marcus Aurelius, which everyone should read and then, because I had some knocking around, I’ve thrown in a copy of the Gothic-horror masterpiece Dracula by Bram Stoker, so you have something to read on the bus to Whitby for some fish and chips. Or something.
If you want to get a copy of all the above, all you’ll have to do is take out a paid subscription for a month. That’s all. It’s five bucks a month, but for that, you get three free books, so not only would you be helping me, but getting something in return beyond a general feeling of well-being and the warm glow of benevolent kindness. There’s a link to subscribe at the bottom of this post.
Thank you for subscribing. Without you, I’m just shouting into the void.
Click the button, it will take you to Google Drive and the file will download in seconds. You’ll need a reader to read the thing, but Adobe Digital Editions is free and there’s a button down there for that, too!
The link will stay up for (probably) the rest of the month.
Thank you so much, everyone.
James.
