Shameless Book Plug of the Day

Right! This is my third attempt at getting this right - Don’t blame me, we didn’t have no internet when I were a lad! Now with updated links!

Friends. Romans. Countrymen. Veni. Vidi. Vici. Civis Romanus Sum. Ich Bin ein Berliner. All that sort of stuff.

It is time for me to once again lay myself prostrate at your feet, begging but for a mere moment of your time, a mewling, impudent cur who is ne’er worthy of but the lightest brush of your cruel hand.

I come to you, a broken and tattered man, shambling in the meagre rags that cling to my skeletal frame, unwashed and miserable, begging you for money. Please, kind stranger, bestow upon me the kindness for which men across the lands sing your name.

Just a few meagre shekels will enable me to buy a candle around which I will huddle this winter as the cold begins to bite. When it gets really cold, I might even light it.

In return for your largesse, I can but offer you the only thing I have, bar the tear-stained cloth I call a shawl. My dog. No! Wait! Not the dog, my writing!
